Holy cow, we now have 99 current members for 2008! One more member, new or renewed, and we will break the total number of members last year, and it is still June. If you haven't paid for 2008 it isn't too late to do so. You can pay online or look for the Stumptown representative at one of the weekly events throughout the Portland area.

The board of directors met tonight. We are excited to be sponsoring the Chick Flick to be held August 9th at Timber. Watch online for more details soon, including online registration. This will be the first clinic event held specifically for women. Hopefully, the first of many!

Another clinic opportunity coming very soon is the Kids First program in Vancouver. For one hour each day during two weeks this summer Stumptown volunteers will be partnering with the Vancouver/Clark Parks & Recreation to teach elementary children from the Hough Neighborhood of Vancouver. If you are available to help even for one day please contact me. The dates are July 14-18 and July 28 to August 1st.

The July work party, BBQ & bag tag challenge is Saturday, July 5th at Milo McIver park. This event will help prepare for the Beaver State Fling. If you haven't participated in a WP/BBQ/BTC you're missing out! Jordan's BBQ skills are excellent and the work goes quickly with many good times. Plus a little friendly competition for tags makes the day almost perfect.

Finally, the July monthly meeting will be here before you know it. Thursday, July 10th at Lunchtime this month. We are going to meet from 6:30 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. and for those that can stick around bag tags can be swapped following a twilight round on the course after the meeting.
